We are a small family-owned machine shop that has been in business for over 45 years producing for the automotive, agricultural, construction, defense and food industries. Our shop is made up entirely of Mazak lathes and vertical mills. Our work ranges in lot sizes from 1 to 1,000 and tolerances down to .0002”. We work in plastics, aluminum, steel and stainless steel.

We are looking for a Machinist that takes pride in their work and achievements. Someone with experience is preferable but we are willing to train those interested in making a career out of machining. Compensation will be based on experience and applicable knowledge.

Summary of Position:

Our CNC Machinist will be able to set up, program, run and inspect pieces on Mazak lathes using standard machinist tools and gaging. Ultimately, he/she must be able to produce quality parts efficiently while maintaining a safe environment by complying with all safety policies and procedures.

Duties:

•Comply with all safety policies and procedures while actively maintaining a clean, safe and positive environment

•Read and interpret blueprints with various tolerance standards

•Apply basic math skills

•Effectively use standard machinist inspection equipment (i.e. calipers, micrometers, height stand)

•Set up and use bore gages

•Follow and record inspection guidelines and sheets

•Identify materials and post-processes that will affect tolerances

•Verify and troubleshoot machine operation

•Ability to multi-task and run multiple machines simultaneously

•Deburr finish product

•Assemble and/or package product as required

•Properly complete required paperwork

•Participate in daily preventative maintenance and cleaning

•Other duties as assigned
