Human Resources Business Partner

Cobham is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner for our Davenport, Iowa Business Unit (BU). She/he will work as part of a dynamic team in a fast-paced, aerospace and defense manufacturing environment.This professional will be responsible for leading the people management related agenda for their assigned functional area. The HRBP leads the change management projects and shares the responsibility for the goals and targets delivery together with the BU HR Vice President and the GM/VP. They will provide direct HR support within their identified area of responsibility, working with functional leadership teams to identify and address performance issues and ensuring operational HR is delivered effectively. They will be responsible for identifying key employees ready for promotion and rotates best talent across different functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Proactively support the delivery of HR Processes within area of responsibility

Support recruitment through the Cobham Resourcing Team

Deploys talent and reward strategies by pulling upon the specialists from the Corporate Center

Acts as the performance improvement driver and provokes positive changes in people management

Act as change agent in managing organizational change where this relates to HR-related activities

Proactively provides HR advice and support on a wide range of tactical and operational employee related issues

Advise on issues of employment legislation

Responsibility for dealing with Labor Relations activities

Provide accurate HR data to the site, function and the BU HR lead

Key part of the BU HR team and will work across the business disciplines to lead and influence change at a tactical level across the business

Be an advocate for equality and diversity ensuring equal access to training and equality of outcomes

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree

7+ years of progressive human resources generalist experience

7+ years of experience in a customer focused, business partnering environment

7+ years of experience deploying effective employment engagement interventions

7+ years of experience with performance management

7+ years of experience managing and resolving employee relations issues

7+ years of experience of compensation practices

7+ years of experience of multiculturalism and inclusion

7+ years of experience of the talent management function

This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by export laws of the US. In order to be eligible you must be either a US Citizen or Permanent Resident

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong knowledge and practical application of Federal and State Employment Law & Legislation

Experience administering a labor agreement

Master’s degree preferred

PHR or SPHR certification preferred

Demonstrated experience of learning and development strategies

Specialist/SME experience in a functional area of Human Resources( such as Talent Management, Compensation, Organizational Design)
